From thrilling adventures like trekking and river rafting to spiritual encounters amidst serene surroundings, Leh Ladakh offers an unforgettable escape into the heart of the Himalayas.

DAY 01: ARRIVE Leh 3505 meters / 11567 feet

Leh is a city in Ladakh in the Himalayan region. It is the largest city and the joint capital of Ladakh. Leh, located in the Leh district, was also the historical capital of the Kingdom of Ladakh. Due to the strong influence of Tibetan Buddhism, Leh is also known as Little Tibet or the Land of Lamas. Barren mountains with brightly painted gompas (or monasteries), fluttering prayer flags, rocky ridges, tiny settlements and the Indus River add to the overall charm of the region.

DAY 02: LEH LOCAL (SHAM VALLEY TOUR)

The Sham Valley Trek is probably the one most ideal for beginners and families in Ladakh. Even so, it is still one of the most enjoyable as one comes across villages, and views on the way that give insights into Ladakhi village life. The valley is renowned for its stunning landscapes, vibrant apricot orchards, and traditional Ladakhi villages. The villages in Sham Valley Trek offer a glimpse into the traditional Ladakhi way of life.

DAY 04: leh to Pangong Lake- It is the highest land locked lake

Pangong Lake, situated at a height of almost 4,350m, is the world's highest saltwater lake. Its water, which seems to be dyed in blue, stand in stark contrast to the arid mountains surrounding it. Extending to almost 160km, one-third of the Pangong Lake lies in India and the other two-thirds in China. The fascinating fact about Pangong Lake is that it has saline water and even then the water freezes and also because of this the lake cannot have any kind of vegetation or even aquatic life.

DAY 05: pangong to leh

Pangong Tso is situated close to the Indo-Tibetan border and Line of Actual Control. Interestingly, only one-fourth of the lake is in India and the rest in Tibet where it's called Tso Nyak (the Black Lake). The lake is some 145 km from Leh.

The Leh to Pangong Lake road trip covers roughly 160 kilometres and takes around 5- 6 hours, depending on the road conditions and weather. The route offers stirring views of the girding geographies and mountains, making it a memorable experience.

DAY 06:departure leh (b)
