DAY01: -Arrive at Srinagar Local Sightseeing’s
The capital city of Srinagar is located 1585 meters above sea level. The city is famous for its gardens, lakes and houseboats. It is also known for traditional Kashmiri handicrafts and dried fruits. The city is located on both the sides of the Jhelum River, which is called Vyath in Kashmir.The name Srinagar comes from the combination of 2 words in Sanskrit, “Sri”, meaning 'Lakshmi' i.e. prosperity and “Nagar”, meaning 'city'.
DAY02: - Srinagar to Sonmarg
Located in the famous Jammu & Kashmir region, Sonmarg is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, stunning natural beauty and picturesque meadows. Moreover, the place also serves as the gateway to several hiking trails such as the Amarnath Cave and Thajiwas Glacier.
DAY03: -- Srinagar to Gulmarg
Gulmarg has attracted millions of tourists throughout its existence with the scenic beauty of the Himalayan Mountains in the back drop. One of the main attractions in Gulmarg is the Gulmarg Gondola, the Highest Cable Car in the world.The old name of Gulmarg was “Gaurimarg”, the name of Lord Shiva's wife. Yousuf Shah Chak changed its name to Gulmarg, meaning the place of roses. During the early part of the 20th century the famous Central Asian explorer Sir Marc Aurel Stein (1862–1943), made his home here in a tent between his expeditions.
DAY04 - Gulmarg
Yousuf Shah Chak, who ruled Kashmir from 1579 to 1586, frequented the place with his queen Habba Khatoon and renamed it 'Gulmarg' ("meadow of flowers"). Wild flowers of 21 different varieties were collected by the Mughal emperor Jahangir for his gardens in Gulmarg.To ensure survival of highly endangered Musk Deer(Moschus crysogater),Gulmarg Wildlife Sanctuary was upgraded from Man and Bio-sphere Reserve in the year 1987. The area is one of the best world renowned tourist destination for its famous meadows ,rocky cliffs, dense birch forests and a home for bird watcher.
DAY05: - Gulmarg to Pahalgam
Pahalgam is associated with the annual pilgrimage to the shrine Amarnath Yatra. Chandanwari, located 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) from Pahalgam. The town is the starting point of the yatra that takes place every year in the months of July–August, receiving hundreds of thousands of tourists.Fringed by snow-covered Himalayan peaks, deep valleys and skirted by the gushing glacial Lidder river, the hill station of Pahalgam in Kashmir Valley, is one of nature's benevolent and beatific expressions.
DAY06: - Pahalgam to Srinagar
In the northernmost Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir lies Pahalgam, a picturesque town often dubbed 'Mini Switzerland'. This charming destination draws renown for its breathtaking landscapes, lush green meadows, and snow-capped mountains, resembling the Swiss Alps strikingly.
DAY07: - Depart from Srinagar
After breakfast check out from houseboat and you will be transferred to Srinagar airport on time to board flight. With “Happy Sweet Memories”
